Mission Adventures

Mission Adventures is a short-term outreach designed especially for groups. A Mission Adventures Outreach combines the local church and the "mission field" for a short period of time in the hopes of builing long-term relationships betweent he two. This produces mutual strength and encouragement and is fruitful for both the host ministry and the outreach participants. Our goal for anyone who participates in Mission Adventures is for their personal relationship with the Lord to be strengthened and their worldview to be expanded, and for them to have a wonderful fun-filled trip!

The Value of Short-Term Outreaches

Short-term missions changes lives! Over and over we have seen the youth, who have participated in past trips, return to their home church on fire for the Lord and their fire is contagious. We want to be an active part of God's message of reconciliation to the lost. You can be a vital part as well by joining us for a short-term outreach. Whether you come with us for a few days or a couple of months God will use you mightily.

• 75% of today's major Christian leaders made a commitment when they were between the ages of 12 and 17 years old. God wants to call young people at an early age.
• 80% of all missionaries have had previous short-term missions experiences.
• Short-term outreaches teach us about servanthood. Phillippians tells us that we are to take on the nature of a servant just as Jesus took on the nature of a servant.
• Going on a short-term trip will expand you worldview
• Short-term outreaches help us evaluate our own culture.

Who Can Be Involved?

Anyone! Young and old. Single and married. As long as you have a heart to obey God and choose to love the lost, we have a place for you. Note: Children ten years or younger must have a parent accompany them.

Denomination: Youth With A Mission is interdenominational. We want to work together with all of the body of Christ to answer His call on our lives.

A Word About How We Minister

We want to encourage spiritual growth in our participants through hands-on involvement in evangelism and mercy ministries. Youth With A Mission embraces three methods of action which we believe God has given us to use to help fulfill the goal of taking the Gospel to all the world:

Evangelism- spreading God's message

Training- Preparing workers to reach others

Mercy Ministry- Showing God's love through practical assistance

In each evangelism effort, we do follow-up on new Christians, linking them with established churches of fellowship whenever possible.
