The 10/40 Window

The 10/40 Window is an imaginary rectangle drawn on the globe stretching from the tenth to the fortieth parallels, north of the equator. Containing one third of the landmass of the planet, it is where the greatest concentration of the world's unreached people live out their days

• 60% of the world's population-that's 3.9 billion people- live in the 10/40 Window.
• 95% of them have never heard the Gospel.
• People in the 10/40 Window respond to the gospel at a rate 110 times higher than people elsewhere
• Only 2 out of 100 missionaries work in the 10/40 Window
  717 million Hindus, 613 million Buddhists, and 1 billion Muslims live there. Each of these religions started within the 10/40 Window.
• 82% of the poorest of the poor live in the 10/40 Window, but....
• less than 2% of all money spent on every form of Christian ministry is used in the 10/40 Window

YWAM Strategic Frontiers is a ministry dedicated to equip the Body of Christ to reach the lost and dying peoples of the 10/40 window.

When it comes to penetrating the 10/40 window, no weapon is more effective than committed long-term missionaries who are willing to give up everything, immerse themselves in a foreign culture, and devote their lives to the discipleship of the lost.

Maybe you see the need in this desparate area of the world, and are feeling the call of the Lord on your heart to become one of these working full-time overseas. But through some denominations and organizations, it can take years to get onto the field. That's where we come in. Through YWAM Nashville, you can be on the field, fully equipped and prepared for your calling with as little as 14 months of training, and you'll get to spend 8 of those months completing practical overseas field assignments.

For the first five months, have a ground-shaking, foundation-building encounter with Jesus during our Discipleship Training School. During the first three months, you'll live at our Adams, TN campus, learning about the character of God, healthy relationships, developing a Biblical worldview, and other essential topics. Fuel your passion for the lost through intercession and spiritual warfare. Take your faith overseas during a two-month field assignment.

Then come back for our School of Strategic Missions, an intense nine month school designed to equip you for strategic cross-cultural work among the Buddhists, Hindus, and Muslims of the 10/40 Window. The first three months will be spent in lectures and training at our campus; then, work in your desired nation for the next six months, putting the strategies you learned into action!
